Were there times when you felt stuck in a situation and could not see any way out?
Are we sometimes like the man and the woman on the video clip? We see no way out of a problem because we are caught up in our mindsets.
Often times, it only takes a shift in our thinking to get unstuck but sometimes we do not realize this fast enough.
For some, getting stuck becomes a door to opportunities. In 2008, Travis Kalanick and Garrett Camp had trouble hailing a cab on one snowy evening in Paris. The idea of a ride on a press of a button came. Today, Uber is in 66 countries, 545 cities and has surpassed one billion rides.
Popular room-letting service Airbnb, recently valued at 1.3 billion dollars, was a result of two friends who found themselves struggling to pay rent while in design school.
Think out of the box. Your problem could be the start of the next big thing.
“With God, all things are possible” – Matthew 19:26
let me tell you about a ” stuck” situation i was in yesterday. funny, stupid, but it happened.
lined up in a ” senior lane” cashier in S & R and left my driver to man my grocery cart, while i again lined up at the food counter to buy pizza…
of course, again with the hope of getting myself served faster, i took the ” senior lane” where about 8 to 10 people are lined up ahead of me….
twas taking too long and i was getting impatient, i looked at my driver who still is at the long senior lane… and was ” patiently” waiting for his turn ( then i would have to run to give my ” s and r ” card and credit card. Haha from afar, i saw all the other lanes about 4 of them had no customer at all!
i got to see ALSO that in the food counter…. the other lanes only had one customer already being served, and here i am lined up in the long senior lane!
so stupid! aint it???????
yes! i got stuck and have labelled myself senior and would only go to that lane! while am free to use the other lanes !
my driver too who is only 50 years old never thought of going to the another lane. i asked him after… ” bakit hindi ka lumipat ng cashier eh walang tao sa ibang cashier” … wala lang— di ko naisip.!!!
left s & r laughing to myself… how can i be so _ _ _ _ _ _!
ha ha ha ha!
